Guy and Mandy have both
been successful International riders from a very young age. Their
first pony was a 128cms Welsh pony called Paddy. Guy and Mandy
shared Paddy and had to take turns at riding him for the first year
until "Inch High", "Tiny Tim" and "Tully" made up the string of 12.2
ponies with which they competed throughout the country. They both
represented England in the Home International Show jumping Series.
They then progressed through 148cm.ponies with "Dusty Boy", "Sandy
B" and "Night Out". They moved up to horses when they reached 16
years old. They each achieved silver medals in their respective
European championships while on 148 cm ponies. Mandy riding Dusty
Boy and Guy riding Sandy B.
They have produced
numerous ponies and horses from novices up to Grand Prix winners.
Guy first competed as a
member of the senior British Nations Cup Team at the age of 19. He
competed at most of the big national shows in the UK and also at
many international shows throughout Europe up to 1999 when he moved
to Germany to ride for the Paul Schockemohle stables where his work
mainly involved producing young horses.
In 2003 Guy moved to
Holland to ride for Ger Poels and in 2005 returned to Germany to be
based with Gilbert Bockman. In 2006 Guy and his partner Nicky set up
a yard in Germany. Their contact details are: SPORTPFERDE
