Biography:

Brother and sister, Guy and Mandy have both been successful international riders from a very young age. Their first pony was a 128cm Welsh pony called Paddy. Guy and Mandy shared Paddy and had to take turns at riding him for the first year until "Inch High", "Tiny Tim" and "Tully" made up the string of 128cm ponies with which they competed all over the UK. They both represented England in the Home Pony International Showjumping Series, progressing through 148cm ponies with "Dusty Boy", "Sandy B" and "Night Out", combining this with competing on young horses. They each achieved silver medals in their respective European Championships while on 148 cm ponies, Mandy riding Dusty Boy and, Guy riding Sandy B.
They have both produced several ponies and horses from novices to International Grand Prix level, Guy first competing as a member of the senior British Nations Cup Team at the age of 19, on the home produced Sky Breeze, the first of 6 horses he produced from novice to represent GB on Nations Cups. He competed at most of the big national shows in the UK and many international shows throughout Europe to 1999 when he moved to Germany to ride for the Paul Schockemohle stables where his work mainly involved producing young horses. In 2003 Guy moved to Holland to ride for Ger Poels and in 2005 returned to Germany to be based with Gilbert Bockmann. In 2006 Guy and his partner Nicky set up their own business producing and training young horses near Diepholz, Germany.

In addition to taking care of baby son Jamie, Nicky rides several horses daily, competes at shows and runs the office.

Mandy rode for the Paul Schockemohle stable in Germany between 1995 and 2000, then had a year in Holland after which she returned to the Paul Schockemohle stable in Germany for a further year. She moved to the USA in 2002 and competed on the West Coast while based at Stone Pine Equestrian Centre and Signature Farms. Mandy returned to the UK in 2005 where she trained with Tina to become a British Showjumping Accredited Coach and produce a string of home bred youngsters with great potential.

Tina trained Guy and Mandy from those early days, competing herself in dressage, show jumping and eventing. Tina is a BS accredited coach and the Discipline Co-ordinator for showjumping for The World Class Development Programme for the British Equestrian Federation

Nicky von Roesgen, Partner with Guy

Nicky and Guy have been working very hard during the past few years building their new home and farm near Vechta in Germany. The old farmhouse is delightful and the new stable yard and indoor school are fantastic.

Nicky is also a promising and enthusiastic competitor. She is making good progress at international level. She has a talented string of young horses which she is producing and the breeding stock is increasing each year.

2 year old son Jamie is showing more interest in the tractors than the horses at this time but if you look through our photo gallery you will see that we have the answer when Jamie wants to ride like Mum and Dad.
